Behind the name Whimsically Ophelia was a quest to find a word or phrase that conjured up the carefree attitude and distinctive quirkiness that I feel sets my work apart. 'Whimsy' felt just right. My work merges the innocence and playfulness of my childhood doodles with a more refined perspective, retaining that very same sense of joy and wonder. ​

I create all my artwork on my iPad, using a stylus to bring my ideas to life. My love for this medium started when I was just 11 years old, thanks to my amazing granny, who gave me my first iPad and showed me the joy of digital doodling.​

 

I love that my iPad is a portable canvas, letting me doodle in bed or anywhere -- I can just pick it up and doodle away whenever inspiration strikes. Its vibrant colors and precision allow me to perfectly capture the expressions I envision—whether it’s getting a character’s facial expression just right or quickly sketching squiggles and swirls as my ideas flow.​​
